Colli Orientali del Friuli

Pignolo

The name seems to derive from the shape of the grapes that is very closed like a pine cone. Nowadays it is cultivated by a few group of enthusiasts, it is a grape variety of our native lands produced since 1600. The colour is light ruby red, smells of tannins, fruity and vinous. The flavour is balanced and full even when the wine is young. This wine prefers white and red meat dishes, It is very suitable for aging. It should be served at a temperature of 18-20°
